Time flies if you are having a great time and if you are with the main one you love. Whilst the years go by, perhaps your anniversaries start to sneak on you, with you and your family member seemingly always ending up going out to dinner again. Or possibly the big day comes and goes, and that you don't do some thing because you're on a restricted budget and can't consider something to do that is celebratory, memorable, and won't cost a fortune. (Sure, a trip to the wine country sounds perfect; but is it worth refinancing your home and mortgage to finance this?)
Well, luckily, you may be both romantic and financially smart. Here are 5 inexpensive and exciting new approaches to celebrate your anniversary.
1. Just Be Together
Take your day removed from work, switch off the mobile phone, stop checking your email, and just spend some quality time together and save money. Keep it simple and remove yourselves from your own busy everyday lives. Celebrate your daily life together because that's what your anniversary is all about.
2. Match Your Gift with Your Anniversary Year
If this really is your fifth anniversary, give five roses. If that is your 10th anniversary, offer a 10-minute massage. Be thoughtful and fun. Create a game out of it, and see who will show up most abundant in creative number-themed gift.
3. Give Thoughtful Gifts
For every anniversary year, you will find traditional gifts as you are able to give. For example, the gift for the first year is traditionally paper. Consider giving your spouse stationery you've customized, a book, a love letter, or whatever else connected with paper. It doesn't need to be expensive, just thoughtful. There's also a modern anniversary gift for each year. Like, for the fourth anniversary, the current gift is appliances, which could be a lot cheaper when compared to a pricey bit of technology. If you do not have one, perhaps you've a movie of a secondary you took or another memorable occasion. Or even, look through your wedding album or pictures that you have got throughout your years together.
5. Get Crafty
If you're feeling a little artsy, go decorate some pottery for each other (most towns have a DIY pottery studio or two). Or make something together, such as for instance a photo album or scrapbook of the prior year's events.
