Time flies when you're having fun and when you are with the main one you love. Since the years go by, perhaps your anniversaries begin to sneak through to you, with you and your family member seemingly always ending up heading out to dinner again. Or perhaps the big day comes and goes, and that you do not do anything more because you're on a restricted budget and can't consider something to do that is celebratory, memorable, and won't cost a fortune. (Sure, a trip to the wine country sounds perfect; but is it worth refinancing your property and mortgage to finance this?)
Well, luckily, you can be both romantic and financially smart. Listed below are 5 inexpensive and exciting new approaches to celebrate your anniversary.
1. Just Be Together
Take the afternoon faraway from work, turn off the cellular phone, stop checking your email, and just spend some quality time together and save money. Keep it simple and remove yourselves from your own busy everyday lives. Celebrate your daily life together because that is what your anniversary is all about.
2. Match Your Gift with Your Anniversary Year
If that is your fifth anniversary, give five roses. If this is your 10th anniversary, provide a 10-minute massage. Be thoughtful and fun. Create a game from the jawhorse, and see who can show up most abundant in creative number-themed gift.
3. Give Thoughtful Gifts
For every anniversary year, you will find traditional gifts as you are able to give. Like, the gift for the first year is traditionally paper. Consider giving your spouse stationery you've customized, a book, a love letter, or other things connected with paper. It doesn't need to be expensive, just thoughtful. There is also a contemporary anniversary gift for every single year. For example, for the fourth anniversary, the current gift is appliances, which could be a lot cheaper than a pricey bit of technology. If you're enthusiastic about what these gifts are, here is a handy set of traditional and modern anniversary gifts by year.
4. Watch Your Wedding Video
I don't think I have ever watched my wedding video. Honestly, I am not sure where it is. But what's the point of getting a video made if you're not going to view it? Your anniversary is a good opportunity to consider that special day, so dust off that wedding DVD and watch highlights together. If there isn't one, perhaps you have a movie of a secondary you took or another memorable occasion. Or even, look throughout your wedding album or pictures that you took during your years together.
5. Get Crafty
If you're feeling a little artsy, go decorate some pottery for every single other (most towns have a DIY pottery studio or two). Or make something together, like a photo album or scrapbook of the previous year's events.
